Description

Context of the Request:

We are seeking technologies to reduce emissions during the loading of crude oil from offshore tankers. Solutions must be transportable, compatible with buoy systems, and address tanker emissions without being permanently fixed.

Problem Statement:

Methane and volatile organic compounds (VOC) are lightweight components vented to the atmosphere during crude oil loading, representing 10 to 20% of our global methane emissions.

Type of Assets:

Operations between crude tankers and Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSOs), Floating Storage and Offloading (FSOs), or oil loading terminals (excluding shuttle tankers).
Technologies must facilitate loading via buoys.
